Footnotes
Description of the incident
1The European ALARA Network (EAN) web site (www.eu-alara.net/index.php) includes links to the EAN newsletters from which the reports of incidents described in this Annex have been obtained. The same web site also includes a direct link (www.eu-alara.net/index.php/incidents-lessons-learned-mainmenu-45.html) to the OTHEA database (www.othea.net) that contains a larger collection of radiological incidents involving nuclear gauges. The incident reports are anonymous and have been selected to provide interesting and useful lessons, with the aim of preventing similar incidents in the future and mitigating the consequences of such incidents if they were to occur.
